Outstanding graduate Alum from EIU, April 2012

The Graduate School and the Graduate Alumni Advisory Board at Eastern Illinois University honored Dr. Frank Blum with a 2012 Outstanding Graduate Alumni Award in April 2012. The awards were established in 2005 to recognize exceptional professional and personal achievement by an Eastern alumnus of a graduate program. Blum was nominated by the graduate program in chemistry. He earned a master of science in chemistry at EIU in 1977 in addition to a bachelor of science in chemistry in 1976. Along with Blum, eleven other alumni were honored at this event.

"POLY salutes its invaluable volunteer, Frank Blum, Oklahoma State University, in recognition of his contributions to the success of the POLY Web Site. Dr. Blum created the website in 1995 and served as the web master for 15 years. During this time he also created and managed the POLY List Serv (electronic discussion list) providing a medium for distributing polymer related information. Dr. Blum has supported POLY in many offices including POLY Chair 1999, Chair-Elect 1998, Vice Chair 1997, and Secretary 1989-95, and was recognized as a POLY Fellow in 2010."
